Playa Vista Jewish Community is a warm, inclusive, enthusiastic, multi-generational Jewish community committed to making a safe place for all who wish to connect through Jewish holidays, joyous prayer, meaningful dialogue, and activities that will make the world a better place.

We gather to celebrate Shabbat and other Jewish holidays, to study Torah, and to offer social action programming through PVJC Cares.

Founding Rabbi and Spiritual Leader

Rabbi Ed moved to Los Angeles from St. Louis in 2014, where he was a rabbi at Central Reform Congregation and a psychologist in private practice. He teaches at Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion, is a member of the Board of Rabbis of Southern California, and also maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles.
